The project involves the construction of a new team sports hall
The new sports hall is designed to host training sessions and competitions for various team sports, including basketball, volleyball, handball, floorball, and futsal. The building comprises six floors, including an underground level, with a total area exceeding 12,000 square meters. The main hall on the first floor is equipped to international standards and can be divided into three separate courts to accommodate simultaneous training sessions or matches. The upper floors feature a service hotel capable of accommodating up to 50 guests, providing convenient lodging for athletes and their teams during competitions or training camps. The project also includes modern locker rooms, fitness areas, storage rooms for sports equipment, administrative offices, and a café. Special attention has been given to accessibility for individuals with disabilities, including Paralympic athletes.

TEC-2 HEAT ACCUMULATIONSYSTEM

The project includes: Design and installation of innovative heat storage equipment. Optimization of the existing TEC-2 infrastructure to integrate the new system. Improvements in environmental performance and compliance with stringent technical standards. The “TEC-2 Heat Accumulation System” project represents a significant step toward sustainable energy development in Latvia.


MUSEUM RECONSTRUCTION IN DAUGAVPILS

General information:
The project focuses on the reconstruction, renovation, and restoration of one of the oldest and largest museums in the Latgale region.
Founded in 1938, the museum is housed in an Art Nouveau building recognized as an architectural monument. The project includes expanding exhibition spaces, modernizing restoration workshops, and creating new amenities, such as an elevator and improved accessibility for all visitors. The project also includes: Modern halls for exhibitions and events. Revitalization of the courtyard with a permanent stage and relaxation area. Improved energy efficiency and compliance with modern standards. The project is funded by the city budget and loans, with construction expected to commence in the coming years.

RESTORATION OF THE ENGINEER ARSENAL IN DAUGAVPILS FORTRESS

The Engineer Arsenal, originally constructed between 1836 and 1845 by architect Alexander Stauberts, is a national architectural monument located in the Daugavpils Fortress. The restoration project aimed to preserve and adapt this historic building into a modern cultural and educational space while maintaining its architectural heritage. The project included: • Complete restoration of the roof and conservation of the eastern and northern wings. • Restoration of the facades and interior spaces in the western wing. • Renovation and landscaping of the courtyard, creating a functional and visually appealing environment. • Installation of modern utility systems and ensuring compliance with current safety and accessibility standards.




RESTORATION OF THE GUNPOWDER WAREHOUSE IN DAUGAVPILS FORTRESS

General information:
The Gunpowder Warehouse, a historic 19th-century building in Daugavpils Fortress, was restored to preserve its architectural heritage while transforming it into a multifunctional cultural space. The restoration included rebuilding the roof to its original height, restoring facades, windows, and doors, and conserving the original masonry and vaulted ceilings. The interior was adapted into exhibition halls and storage spaces for art collections, with the installation of modern utilities and advanced security systems. The surrounding infrastructure was enhanced with a landscaped recreational area, restored stone pavements, new walkways, and outdoor lighting to create an inviting environment.


CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION OF A 30 MW BIOMASS HEATING PLANT

The project involves constructing a 30 MW biomass heating plant in Daugavpils, designed to enhance energy efficiency through a condensing economizer. Comprehensive supervision ensures compliance with quality and safety standards. Initial tasks include site preparation and the removal of hazardous waste from underground fuel oil reservoirs, ensuring safe disposal and compliance with environmental regulations. After remediation, old reservoirs will be dismantled to make way for new infrastructure. This initiative is part of Daugavpils’ plan to modernize its heating system, improving energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact. The project is expected to provide residents with a more reliable and sustainable heating source.






DAUGAVPILS FORTRESS RIVERSIDE DEVELOPMENT

The project transformed a 980-meter-long riverside along the Daugava River into a modern public space, enhancing accessibility to the Daugavpils Fortress and promoting tourism. Key improvements included a new gathering area with a bronze model of the fortress, a pedestrian walkway, and restored historical features such as the protective dam, 19th-century “Lunete Road,” and three historical wells. The site now features a parking area, improved lighting, stormwater drainage, and video surveillance. Landscaping efforts included removing overgrown vegetation, creating lawns, and planting trees, while a recreational zone with benches and greenery adds to the area’s appeal. This development integrates historical preservation with modern infrastructure to create a vibrant, accessible space for residents and visitors.


DISASTER MANAGEMENT CENTER SUPERVISION

General information:
The project involves the construction of a Disaster Management Center at Siguldas Street 20 in Daugavpils, aiming to enhance the region’s emergency response capabilities. The center will house the State Fire and Rescue Service post, the Ministry of the Interior’s Health and Sports Center, and a branch of the Information Center. Construction began in 2023, with completion anticipated by spring 2025. The project is funded by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility, with an investment of €3.63 million. As of May 2024, foundations, external networks, and subfloor networks have been completed, with ongoing road construction and wall erection. This development is part of a broader initiative to establish similar centers across Latvia, aiming to strengthen public safety infrastructure nationwide.

STATE BORDER GUARD CYNOLOGY CENTER

General information:
The project involves constructing a modern Cynology Center for the State Border Guard College in Rēzekne. The facility will provide training for cynologists and service dogs from various law enforcement agencies, including the Border Guard, Revenue Service, and Military Police. The center will feature upgraded working conditions, improved housing for service dogs, and safe storage for training materials. Funded by the EU Border Management Program, the project aims to strengthen Latvia’s border security. Construction began in December 2024 and is expected to be completed by August 2026.

This includes the modernization of engineering systems, improving building energy efficiency, and creating comfortable working spaces. RADONS RADIOACTIVE WASTE REPOSITORY

General Information:
The project involves сonstruction of new radioactive waste storage tanks with reinforced concrete.
The RADONS repository is Latvia’s only facility for the controlled disposal and storage of low- and intermediate-level radioactive waste. It features seven storage tanks, with the seventh currently operational. Waste is securely stored in cemented concrete containers, ensuring compliance with strict safety regulations.
Environmental monitoring programs assess groundwater, air, and soil conditions to prevent contamination. Planned expansions will enhance capacity and safety, supporting future waste management needs across industries, healthcare, and research facilities. RADONS serves as a cornerstone of Latvia’s nuclear safety infrastructure.


LĪKSNA BRIDGE AND ROADS IN MEŽA MACKEVIČI

The project involves the construction of a bridge over the Līksna River and access roads in the “Meža Mackeviči” training ground area.
This project aims to enhance transport infrastructure in a strategically significant area. The bridge and access roads will provide reliable and convenient connections between facilities within the training ground and improve accessibility for both military and civilian purposes.
The project includes:
• Design and construction of a bridge, considering local geological and hydrological conditions.
• Development of durable access roads suitable for year-round use.

General Information:
The building at Siguldas Street 24, Daugavpils, is a three-story facility managed by the State Ltd. “Daugavpils Psychoneurological Hospital.” Within the framework of this project, the building is planned to be adapted for new functions, including the construction of a new inpatient facility for patient admission and care.
As part of the project implementation, the surrounding territory will also be improved, and additional parking spaces will be created.


BUILDING ENERGY EFFICIENCY IMPROVEMENT AT 18. NOVEMBRA STREET

General Information:
The building undergoing renovation is a two-story production facility owned by SIA “Daugavpils satiksme”, with a total designed area of 2153.60 m². The project is being implemented with the objective of reducing energy consumption and improving the building’s energy efficiency, including insulation of exterior walls and roof structures, replacement of windows and exterior doors/gates, reconstruction of the heating system and thermal unit, installation of a new ventilation system with enhanced heat/moisture recovery efficiency, implementation of control and automation systems, as well as the construction of internal and external power supply networks.
